Day 1 Setup for Citrix in Azure
Step 1: Citrix Workspace – From the desktop, or the windows icon
in the lower, left corner of your screen:
- Log in with your Adaugeo user name, which should be AHS\ followed by your first initial, middle initial and last name
- In the Desktops window, select to View All Apps and View All Desktops
- This allows you to select the star to save them as Favorites

Step 2: Desktop – Double-click your Desktop to open the desktop viewer
- It will take several seconds to load, especially the first time
- If the Citrix Workspace – Security Warning pops up, check the box and Permit Use

- NOTE: Once your desktop is opened, you will see a dark tab with a down arrow at the top of the screen.

- When you click on the arrow, it will open to show more menu options:

- Home = Return to the workspace screen
- Ctrl+Alt+Del = Lock screen, Sign out, Change Password or open Task Manager
- Disconnect = Close the Desktop (this is not a full sign-off)
- Window/Full-Screen = Select Window to make screen slightly smaller than full screen
- NOTE: This option is needed if you have multiple monitors:
- Once in Window mode, click/hold top bar of window and drag it until you see half of your desktop on each monitor. Then select to maximize the desktop to open onto both monitors:

Step 3: Microsoft 365 Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.)
Outlook – From the windows icon in the lower, left corner of your screen, select Outlook:


- Your email address should already be present, so simply Connect to log into Microsoft Office 365 (O365)
- Be sure to uncheck the box to Set up Outlook Mobile, or it will take you through unnecessary steps
Teams – instant messaging (in place of Lync/Skype for Business) – From the windows icon in the lower, left corner of your screen, select Microsoft Teams and drag to your desktop to create a shortcut
- Open Teams to use Chat function (you should already be logged in, if you logged into Outlook)

Step 4: Printers – to find and add your printers:
- Select the ^ (up arrow/carrot) in the lower, right corner of your desktop
- Then select the printer icon to open PrinterLogic.

- Follow the three installation steps be selecting Install, then Install Extension, then Enable this item:



- Now, you can close that browser window and go back into Printer Logic to find your list of printers:

- Click once to select your printer
- Be sure to check the box to Set as Default Printer before installing your preferred printer:

Step 5: File Explorer – From the windows icon in the lower, left corner of your screen, select File Explorer
- Personal or Site-Specific Documents: in the search field, enter \\jabat.interpath.local\
- “My documents” are typically in \\jabat.interpath.local\env\MyDocs\USERNAME\My Documents
- Shared documents (legacy “Y-Drive”): In the search field, enter \\pitt.interpath.local\Data\
- Create shortcuts to your folders by dragging and dropping into left Quick Access column:

Step 6: Phones
- For Mitel Connect users, log in from the Citrix desktop – user name/password are specific to Mitel
- For Shoretel Communicator users, log in from your your local desktop – user name/password are specific to Shoretel
Step 7: Intergy/EHR – User name should be your first initial, middle initial and last name and password is same as your network password
- If you use Single Sign On (SSO), a system admin will need to change your user account to authenticate against the AHS domain for future logins
Step 8: Sharepoint – Select the Adaugeo Sharepoint icon and log in with your AHS\user name and password
Step 9: Any Other Applications and Hardware – make sure all other applications and hardware used is working

Step 10: Published Apps – from the Citrix Workspace window, select to view All Apps/All Applications:

- If you are a Practice Analytics, LIS or Instrument Manager user, this is where you will access those applications
