Citrix is kicking me out or missing personal settings and bookmarks
Do you happen to be using multiple computers throughout the day? There is only one session allowed per user. It is designed as such so as to keep profiles from becoming corrupt. Even with this failsafe, it is possible to corrupt your profile if:
-If you are logged into a computer then go to another and open a Citrix session. It will force the first session into a “Disconnected” state. Once in a “Disconnected” state, it will try and reconnect that session to the other host. If there are any number of possible issues when doing so, it will cause you to get a temporary profile (temp profiles will not have any bookmarks, Icons may be in the wrong spots, Printers wont be installed Etc.)
-If you have logged out of the Citrix session but not out of the workspace app or your desktop, that can cause the problems as well. Someone can come along behind you and start a Citrix session that will use your credentials since they are still active. It will then cause your session to be pulled and it will kick you out. It will seem like you were logged off, but someone else will be using your credentials and session.
To try to not have this happen, I recommend:
1) Sign out of the Citrix session by going to the start menu>your profile icon>sign out.
2) On the local desktop you need to sign out of the Citrix Workspace program (using the gear in the upper right corner of the workspace program) any time you leave that computer to go to a different one.
3) Sign out of windows using the start menu>your profile icon>sign out.
4) Then you can move to the next computer and log into windows, then Citrix, then launch the Citrix session.
Citrix was, by design, not set up to keep moving computers and pulling your session.
